The Bow & Dunbarton School Districts intend to destroy special education records for individual students who have not received special education services since 2017 (except for the last signed IEP which will be retained until the individual’s 60th birthday). The information is no longer needed to provide educational services. Special education records will be destroyed through Absolute Data Destruction.

Note – this is for individuals who received special education services and who graduated in 2017 or prior to 2017. A parent or adult student wanting to exercise the right to access those records prior to destruction must make a written request so that it arrives in the Student Services Office no later than December 15, 2024.
